Their birria tacos are everything!! Alright so my oldest got it in his head that he wanted to try birria tacos on New Year’s Day. All the food trucks were closed, so I decided to go with the tried and true Penjamo. I’m honestly so happy we did. Full disclosure, my oldest is EXTREMELY picky so I was on fence about wasting my money if he didn’t like it..but he enjoyed the birria tacos so much, he was dunking them into the consume & even using the limes & cilantro (he never dresses up his tacos!). I have had tacos penjamo before, years ago. And this honestly shows me why they’re still around. The quality is amazing, service is very friendly. Their restaurant is always superior clean when I’ve visited. To add the cherry on top, their birria tacos are also the most affordable in the area. I normally go by quality over price point, so that’s definitely a win/win situation either way. We’re definitely going to be regulars from here on out. He’s already asking if he can work here when he’s 16 (he’s 7). Clearly these birria tacos changed his life. I hope if you’re reading this, you let them change yours too.

We happen to drive through the area on our way back home from San Antonio and found this place after we had a bad experience in another local taqueria a few minutes from this. I am glad we found them! The place was nice and clean. The ladies were really welcoming and guided us through the order process. The service was great! We also LOVED the bread from the bakery!! It’s so soft and delicious. Reminds me of the panaderias from Mexico. Definitely recommend this place if you need somewhere to eat!!

One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Killeen! The waitresses already know us and always serve us quickly. We usually get the everyday special which is your choice of 4 tacos and a drink. I really recommend the chicken fajita and carnitas! I've also had their sizzling fajita dish and their birria tacos and I've never been disappointed by anything on their menu!

This is the cutest little hole in the wall taco place here in Killeen. The waitress was super friendly and very helpful. She was bubbly and warm. They even have a bakery that is so cute. Stop by if you are looking for excellent street tacos

Tacos penjamo is MY ABSOLUTE GO TO for authentic Mexican food , especially Birria tacos!! The atmosphere is chill, the staff is always very friendly with smiles on their faces. Service is fast and the quality of the food is 10/10 hands down! The presentation,Quality,Portions,The Prices, Atmosphere, Staff, Literally everything about this restaurant is 5 stars!!!!! I LOVE TACOS PENJAMO!

Super cute little place. Plenty of seating. Awesome service. Dessert bar. That I didn't get to try this time. . Tacos were awesome.. birria tacos were awesome. . If you get a chance. Do it.

This is the taco spot!! I did a pick up order for Al pastor tacos, tamarind jarrito and a choco flan everything I ordered was deliciously good the perfect seasoning on the meat the tortillas warm and Omgg the choco flan was moist and sweet!! Definitely coming back soon!!

Very friendly staff!! The taco is great for afternoon snacks. The floor in the restroom is a bit sticky though. Overall it’s worth to come back!
